Harsh Patel is an art director, graphic designer, typographer, publisher, and teacher. For the past 15 years, his work has circuited acceptance and collaboration within fine art and design, and overground and underground operations. A consistent and outspoken interest in globalization guides much of his work, which is marked by sharp and spare combinations of design's most essential DNA: iconography, letter design, and manipulated photo imagery.
His studio has collaborated with galleries, artist studios, fashion designers, health advocacy non-profits, musicians, and cultural institutions. He has lectured internationally on how design history is continually reshaped by issues of equality and representation. His writing about fashion has appeared in Interview magazine, and his writing about design has appeared in Art in America and IDEA Magazine Japan. His work has been included in exhibitions at the Hammer Museum, LA; the Brno International Graphic Design Biennial; and, independently, at Andrew Roth, NY; Cleopatra's, Brooklyn; and Young Art, LA.
